According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 3 women have been abused by their intimate partner. In 2018 alone, we provided an estimated 20,000 services (duplicated) and answered 5,700 calls on our crisis line. DAWN protects women and their families from domestic abuse, providing shelter, support, and empowerment so they can build secure and happy lives. We help lead our community toward the vision of a violence-free future by sharing our expertise and educating our advocates to recognize, respond to, and prevent violence. Together, with the support of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, we build a safer place to live for us all!
- A gift of $5,300 provides shelter and food for a family of three for one month.
- A gift of $2,500 provides 6 weeks of shelter, food and support for one woman.
- A gift of $1,000 provides 34 hours of personal support and safety planning.
- A gift of $500 provides 150 teens 10 hours of learning about healthy relationships.
- A gift of $250 provides for 5 hours of legal advocacy.
- A gift of $150 provides for one support group for up to 12 women.
